Officers with the department’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU) say they traveled to Sullivan County Jail to take a man into custody on an outstanding bench warrant and bail jumping charges on Thursday, May 16.
Aboubacar Bagayoko, 23, of Manhattan was taken into custody and charged with second-degree bail jumping. He was also charged with failing to appear to answer to a charge of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, as per the bench warrant, which originated in the Town of Southeast, NEU officers say.
Bagayoko was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Justice Court and remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to court on a future date.
